The German Information Centre Africa is a virtual window that shows the diversity of modern-day Germany and its multi-faceted links and partnerships with African countries.
The GIC is designed to enhance the flow of information to those in Africa interested in Germany. The GIC is a public diplomacy initiative of Germany's Federal Foreign Office. It offers English-language stories with a German-African angle, as well as information on business, education, research, politics, sports and culture in Germany. Current information is available in a bi-monthly electronic newsletter as well as on our Facebook page. Pretoria was chosen as the site for the GIC, reflecting its role as a media and communications hub within Africa.
